Authorities say that the shooting suspect in Fort Hood was identified as Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan and according to them he was an Army mental health professional in the Army Base. The shooting resulted to 12 soldiers death and 32 wounded others. Hasan was on his 30’s who start the fire at the base. Officials leaved some reason not to discuss the entire case publicly.

According to Huffington Post website:

A defense official speaking on condition of anonymity says Hasan was a mental health professional – an Army psychologist or psychiatrist.

It was not known whether he was treating people at the base.

Officials says it was not clear what Hasan's religion was, but investigators are trying to determine if Hasan was his birth name or if he may have changed his name and converted to the Islamic faith at some point.

It's a tragic incident happen to an Army base which could not be expected. Lot of speculations are running in and out of the issue and the only thing we need to know was the schedule of investigation result on press release.
