Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin at the Moods of Norway winter wonders afterparty at the Grand hotel in Norway.
Whitney blogged:
Hi lovies, For those of you who don't know, I'm currently in Norway with Ben and his friends and I'm having the best time. Oslo (the city we're in) is amazing! I went to the Winter Wonderland fashion show, an opening ceremony event for the World Cup of Skiing. The designers of the fashion show are Moods of Norway, Norway's biggest brand and they had Ben, Duncan and Dave model in the show. The suits were awesome and it was just so funny seeing the boys as models. The whole show was outside and it is beyond cold here, but I was dressed nice and warm so I survived haha.

Is Brody Jenner getting ready to put a ring on Avril Lavigne's finger?
"They're almost a year together," Jenner's mom Linda Thompson told us last night at the Global Action Forum awards gala in Beverly Hills. "She's an amazing young woman and I feel really fortunate that she's in our lives."
So have the couple started planning a walk down the aisle?
"Not yet," Thompson said. "I mean they're very young. They both have their careers to concentrate on." (Brody has a career? ;)! )
But that doesn't mean Brody's mama doesn't think they'll one day tie the knot!
When asked if she thinks they'll be together forever, Thompson gushed, "I actually do yeah."
"You never know what will happen but they are well suited for each other," she said. "She's such a lovely person and surprisingly, she's a real home body. She loves to cook and she's really grounded and very familial. She's into close-knit family time. I really respect her."
What makes Jenner and the punk-pop singer click so well?
"They have the same sense of humor," Thompson said. "They both love to laugh and have fun. They both have a little streak of irreverence which is pretty delightful and a lot of fun to be with."

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka opened their tournament with a 210 run win over Canada in Group A, one of the biggest wins in Cricket World Cup history. They were helped by some inept Canadian batting and by the fact that Canada lost two front line bowlers to injury during the game. Concerns for them after that match will be the form of their formidable opening bat Tillakaratne Dilshan, who seemed to be struggling to time the ball at all, and the ease with which some of the Canadian batsmen played Muttiah Muralitharan; the last thing they want in a competition that they hope to win again is for their most potent weapon to lose its power at the last moment.

Pakistan

The Pakistanis also had an easy first game, proving far too good for Kenya in a game in which captain Shahid Afridi was inexplicably allowed to take five wickets. That alone tells you a lot about the quality of the opposition and it will therefore be something of a worry for them that openers Mohammed Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad (not to be confused with England’s Ajmal Shehzad) managed only 10 runs between them. Fortunately, Misbah-ul-Haq’s good run of form continued and they were able to post a total that was always going to be too big for Kenya.
