We think Countess LuAnn would be proud. This sounds like a very classy thing to do.
Since Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari will no longer be taking the big leap into marriage, all the gifts everyone sent them off their wedding registry have been taken back to the store. Yeah, some people would've kept them. Those people wouldn't have any more friends, but who needs friends when you've got a waffle iron from Crate and Barrel?
Anyway, the gifts were sent back and everyone who was gracious enough to buy something for the couple got a little note sent to them (above) explaining that they'll be getting their money back shortly.
Alls end that ends well - at least for their guests! Things are probably still a little a rough for Kristin and Jay though.

Kristin Cavallari is washing that man right out of her hair—and off her ringfinger, too.
After a whirlwind month of engagement parties, runway shows, wedding dress photos and an unexpected breakup, Kristindoesn't want any reminders of her ex-fiancé Jay Cutler.
Her first step? Returning the engagement ring.
A source close to the newly single gal confirms that she gave the ring (you can see it in the photo) back to the pro football player, weeks after he called off their nuptials.
The news will hopefully provide some closure for the KCav. It was less than a month ago that the duo released their wedding registry, but as time went on, sources say the pair was drifting apart.
"She noticed a change in him," an insider told Life & Style magazine. "He suddenly became more supportive of her career. Up till then, he'd always talked about it coming to an end once they got married. It was like Jay knew he was leav­ing the relationship and didn't want Kristin to miss out on great opportunities in L.A."
But at the end of the day, it's the Chicago Bears quarterback who's missing out.
"Going to Greece thursday...cannot wait!!!" she tweeted just yesterday.
At least she doesn't have to worry about any awkward ring tan lines!

If you havent heard - Kristin Cavallari is tired about the rumors and innuendo surrounding her split with fiancé Jay Cutler -- and she’s lashing out on Twitter.
"I never said ANYTHING about jays knee injury. I've always backed him 100%. Stop trying to start shit. I know he was seriously hurt," she tweeted.
Cavallari was referring to the reports that she doubted her ex-fiance’s knee injury.
"Kristin called Jay out, saying she thought he was faking the injury and told him he was worthless," the couple’s Chicago neighbor told HollywoodLife.com.
"Their breakup was no surprise at all to anyone who lived in the building. We thought they would end things before they got married, and if they did go through with the wedding we were convinced they’d divorce."
The neighbor had no love for Cutler.
"They fought all the time, and to be honest, I blame Jay. He was awful," the insider said. "Jay was not nice at all. He would not talk to any of us [the neighbors] and was extremely stand-offish. He was all about himself."
However, the neighbor wasn’t that fond of Cavallari, either.
"Kristin would call Jay a loser… she’d scream it at him so everyone could hear. They would have fights about Jay being too conceited. They would also argue over how mean he was to people. She would make a point of saying hello to people in the hall, just to piss him off."
Kristin was understandably upset about the whole thing.
"Stop believing everything your reading...not 1 thing has been accurate and I haven't commented AT ALL and jay hasn't either so its all bs," she tweeted.

Timing is everything. Which is a lesson Kristin Cavallari is learning the hard (and unfortunately, unavoidably public) way.
You see, last Thursday, Kristin was a happy, glowing bride-to-be who tried on a series of wedding dresses for a fun-filled photoshoot with Life & Style. Cut ahead to just four days later, when her engagement to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was suddenly kaput. And then jump, if you will, to today, when that horrendously ill-timed photo shoot was released.
And to hear the tabloid's behind-the-scenes tale, it certainly sounds like the former Hills star didn't see this split coming…
Just two days before Kristin Cavallari’s fiancé, Jay Cutler, broke off their engagement, she was glowing with excitement while trying on a series of wedding dresses at her exclusive Life & Style photo shoot (the shoot is in the current issue, out now).

The reality star looked dazzling in gowns by Anne Bowen and Mon Cheri Bridals as she gushed about her plans for a traditional wedding and her vision of walking down the aisle in a strapless gown.
“I want a romantic, mystical wedding, with lots of flowers,” she shared with Life & Style during the shoot at LA’s Mondrian Hotel on July 21
Now, an insider close to Kristin reveals that the real trouble began the very next day—on July 22—when Jay asked her to fly back to Chicago with him the following morning.
“Kristin said she didn’t want to because she’s working on a new TV project and had a full day of shooting scheduled for Tuesday [July 26],” the insider explains. But Jay was angry about it and the argument escalated. “He told her that she needed to commit to him, and to move to Chicago,” the insider continues. When it became clear that Kristin had no intention of giving up her career in entertainment, Jay broke up with her — returning to Chicago alone on July 23.
Starting a family was also an issue between the couple, who began dating last September. “Jay’s family was pushing Kristin to get pregnant immediately,” says the insider. “Kristin knows she’s too young for kids right now.”
Still, a friend close to Kristin tells Life & Style she was stunned and heartbroken after Jay called things off. “Kristin really loved Jay. She is devastated.”

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler defended ex-fiancee Kristin Cavallari Monday, after the weekend revelation the pair had called off their engagement.
"Thank you all for the support, but if you talk bad about Kristin I will delete and block you. It's unnecessary and heartless," he wrote on his Facebook page, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The Vanderbilt University grad also changed his relationship status on the social networking website to "Single" and replaced his profile pic, from a photo with his former love to a picture of him with his sister.
"Also, don't say now I can play football, I could play football when I had her compared to when I don't. Football is the least of my worries, so have some respect," he added in his message.
Cutler, 28, and Cavallari, 24, called off their four-month betrothal this weekend just days after they had partied away at their engagement celebration, People magazine reported Sunday.
The pair began dating last fall and Cutler popped the question in April.
The couple were reportedly planning a spring wedding and the former "Hills" star was preparing to move from Los Angeles to Chicago for the upcoming NFL season.
After the shocking news of their split, the internet was ablaze with rumors Cavallari was dumped by the football star while other reports blamed Cutler for being too controlling of the blond beauty.
"Thanks for the support. Love u guys," Cavallari tweeted late Sunday, without directly referencing the news.

Was Kristen's "career" really what forced the twosome to call it quits?
Hardly.
While the two cite disagreements over living situations as the cause of their demise—he's stationed out of Chicago and she's an L.A. gal through and through—sources close to KCav say Jay had way bigger issues.
"He was beyond controlling and didn't really like Kristin going out," a pal of the reality-TV star spills to E! online. "When she did go out, he called all the time and demanded to know exactly where she was going and who she was with."
How lame! Especially considering Jay knew what he was getting into when he popped the big Q. It's not like Kristin hid her love of partying (hello, there are, like, three seasons of MTV programming to prove it)!
Consider us Team Kristin on this one.
And trust, Kristin's friends definitely aren't sad to see Jay go either.
"He made her choose between him and being friends with a lot of her girlfriends," our source tells us. "Honestly, I'm not surprised it didn't last."

This is not the fairy-tale ending Kristin Cavallari was hoping for.
After just 10 months together, Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler have called off their engagement, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
"She got dumped," says another source. "She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."
The couple, who were planning a spring wedding, became engaged in April, when Cutler popped the question in Mexico. They had been spending much of their time recently in Chicago, and Cavallari had planned to move there during the upcoming football season.
"She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set," the source says. "She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."
Just a week ago, Cavallari Tweeted about her engagement party. "Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!" she wrote.
The couple had completed their wedding registry, and Cavallari was determined to be in great shape for the wedding.
Saturday night Cavallari hit The Beverly, an L.A. lounge, and was spotted without her engagement ring.
"She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio," a source tells PEOPLE. "She was telling friends how they called off the engagement."
A rep for Cavallari had no comment.

Bears QB Jay Cutler and reality TV star Kristin Cavallari have set the date and started the planning for their wedding. They picked the date of July 7, 2012, which is usually the time when football players take their vacation before starting training camp again in the August. This date will allow Jay and Kristin to party on their wedding day, take a nice honeymoon and then get back to Chicago in time for season.
They have also begun their registry. Both William-Sonoma and Crate and Barrel allow couples to make their registries online, but I prefer to think that Jay spent a Sunday trailing Kristin around Old Orchard, getting excited over china patterns and spatulas. Krouvi Beer Mug, $7.95 each, registered for six at Crate and Barrel: After a hard day at work getting knocked around the field, Cutler will want to drink a cold, frosty beer, so get him these mugs that can be kept in the freezer for added frostiness.
Granada shot glass, $5.50, registered for eight at Crate and Barrel: Eight shot glasses? Apparently, JayCav plans to throw some parties, and their parties will have eight people taking shots at once. Salud!
Maple rolling pin, $36, registered for one at Williams-Sonoma: Do you picture Kristin rolling out pie crusts with her maple rolling pin? Me neither, but in case she does, a maple rolling pin is an excellent choice.
Enameled crab crackers, $19.95 at Williams-Sonoma: One of Cutler's favorite places in Chicago is Joe's Stone Crab, so it's no surprise that he would want to eat them at home. But has anyone told him that we're in Chicago? It's not like he can go out into Lake Michigan and catch a few.
Offensive lineman, $3 million, registered for one: No present will be appreciate by Jay like a man who will keep him upright on the field. It's an expensive gift, so just get some friends together to go in on it.
