The MLB web post Press Release announces the 2009 Rawlings Gold Glove Award for American League Winners. The Rawling was a sporting goods company which is one of the entire game sponsor for sports apparels and other equipments. For this year, according to MLB report, there was a 9 players selected for the first time which include Mark Buehrle, Evan Longoria, and Adam Jones who catch the attention of audience recently.

The Rawlings Gold Glove Award has been established since 1957 which is according to report was the most greatest measures in fielding excellence. This award has been given to 18-outstanding players from American to National Leagues. All winners are selected by all American coaches and sport managers prior to the conclusion from season regular game.

"Since it's creation in 1957, the Rawlings Gold Glove Award® has been bestowed on some of the greatest defensive players the game has ever seen and this year is no exception," said Mike Thompson, Rawlings Senior Vice-President, Sports Marketing.

"Defense is a cornerstone of the Rawlings brand and we're proud to recognize defensive excellence at baseball's highest level. Congratulations to the 2009 recipients."
