As the approaching tectonic change begins to devastate Los Angeles in "2012", Kate and her husband Gordon carelessly shop for groceries. Just as Gordon talk about that there will be something wrong is coming among them, an earthquake scratches through the market. The ground opens, and accurately slashing the couple separately.
