According to Los Angeles Times website, the cause of death of DJ AM or Adam Goldstein was the overdose of cocaines and prescribed drugs.

"The cause of death was accidental drug overdose due to the combined effects of cocaine, Vicodin, oxycodone, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and levamisole," said Ellen Borakove, a spokeswoman for the New York medical examiner. Levamisole is a medication drug dealers cut cocaine with before selling it on the street.

According to previous report on August 28, 2009, DJ AM was found in hes bedroom in Manhattan facing downward with prescribed drugs found near to his body. It was a surprising moment for DJ AM fans during that day.


DJ AM was known for his electrifying performance and he's been featured in A-list party. He is also previously engaged to Nichole Richie, a TV show star and co-owned LAX, the Hollywood club.

It is really hard to determine the effect of cocaine in our body, drugs are just used to supplements our body requirements but you need to consult your doctor before taking any prescribed drugs from your drug stores. Maybe, the combination of two or three chemicals in human body could led to a heart failure which somehow cause the death of DJ AM.
