Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was voted the world's hottest women for 2011 by Maxim and has graced countless runways clad in all manners of lingerie. But when she was starting out as a fledgling model, this sexy star was actually told to lose weight.
This is a frequent story in the fashion industry, where perfectly normal-sized models are told to lose weight to fit the model mold. It's sad, but true. Rosie tells Elle UK:
When I started modelling, I was definitely heavier. I was quite voluptuous in fact. I had a real baby face and baby fat. But I was a baby! I was told I had to get into better shape, but I'm quite stubborn so I didn't. I can't remember a time where I really battled with my body, but I can remember being asked to lose weight and battling with the advice. It hurt me. Especially as my baby fat naturally melted away as I got older.Rosie, we—and legions of men worldwide—think you look perfect just the way you are!
