Avril Lavigne launched a series of obscene words when singing in a concert held after a baseball game at the Tropicana Field. The "What the Hell" singer reportedly threw the expletives after she got booed by audience when her mic didn't work during the performance.

The gig took place on Saturday night, May 28 after Tampa Bay Rays' 7-3 loss to Cleveland Indians. After the concert, announcer Rusty Kathy apologized for Avril's foul-mouthed language. "That's not what the Tampa Bay Rays are about," Rusty said to the crowd of more than 24,000.

Rays' spokesperson Rick Vaughn issued an apology as well. He said, "The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night's show. It is not consistent with the family friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for."

Avril herself hasn't commented on the ill-fated concert. The pop/rock singer wrote on Twitter, "I just threw the opening pitch and playing a concert after the game! Fun :)." She tossed out the first pitch of the baseball game before the obscene gig.
