Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan have never been paired as lovers on screen when they were in a relationship. Looks like the ex lovers are making up for all the lost time now, after parting ways.
After coming together for YRF’s Ek Tha Tiger, Salman and Katrina are all set to star in Dharma Productions’ yet untitled project by Rensil D’Silva.
This film hopefully will now break the jinx that has prevented Kat and KJo from working together this far. Katrina was earlier supposed to star in Dharma’s sequel to Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The project seemed to take rather too long to take off. More recently, Katrina all set to work with KJo’s Dharma in Ayaan Mukerji’s second directorial venture couldn’t allot dates for the same.
As a result of which the Kat-KJo partnership failed to take off once again. “Till the last moment, every effort was made to get Katrina in Ayaan’s project. But it just didn’t work out,” revealed a source close to the project.
Now, after two failed attempts to work with the actress, Karan Johar seems to have made up his mind to cast Katrina in the forthcoming Rensil D’Silva project starring Salman Khan.
Katrina, however, is willing to wait to work with Karan. “It doesn’t matter whether I am in Karan’s film now or later, or never. He’s a dear friend and I really enjoy his company,” said the actress. The Rensil D’Silva film will however go on floors next year.
Another film in Sallu’s 2012 calendar
Rajkumar Santoshi can now breathe easy since his much awaited Salman starrer is finally ready to go on floors early next year. Ramesh Taurani of Tips confirmed the same and said, “We are starting our film with Salman sometime in January or February 2012.”
Salman, who post his Dabangg and Ready success has become one of Bollywood’s most bankable and busy stars, has allotted dates for the Tips project from early next year. The film was announced in 2010 but had failed to take off. “We need just one heroine for this film. We haven’t finalised her yet though,” revealed Taurani.
According to a source close to the film, “Keeping in mind the triple success if Wanted, Dabangg and Ready, Santoshi’s film with Salman will also be a typical mass entertainer.”
Interestingly, both Santoshi and Taurani had major plans to work with Salman which failed to take off in the past. Santoshi has always wanted to make a sequel to his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna but it never materialised. Ramesh Taurani too had attempted to work with the Khan brothers, Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail in a remake of Amar Akbar Anthony. That too failed to take off.

Former beauty queen Sushmita Sen, who did item numbers in movies like 'Fiza' and Nayak', wants to get back into the dancing mode and is keen on doing a raunchy item number.
Sushmita was last seen in Anees Bazmee's comedy 'No Problem' last year.
'I like winning but I don't like rat races as I can't deal with Friday to Friday fluctuations. I do a 'Main Hoon Na' and people think I've arrived - with the saris, the glamour. And then I do a 'Chingari' and people hate it. But I experiment. Now I am taking a break and reading scripts.
'I do want to do an item number, to get back to dancing soon. Want to do a really raunchy item number,' she said in an interview on 'The Date Season 2', which will be aired on Bloomberg UTV Saturady.
During the show, she also reminisced about her first big success in 1994 when she was crowned Miss Universe and said that there were people who didn't even know her name when she won the crown, but they were happy with the fact that an Indian had won.
'Everything in my life has been a cosmic accident. I was found at a nightclub and somebody suggested I go for Miss India. The entire experience (Miss India) opened up my eyes. Around the world people celebrated. They didn't even know my name, but they knew India had won. That's when it hit me that I had put India on the map,' said the 35-year-old.
Now a budding entrepreneur, who selects model from India to participate in the Miss Universe pageant through her company I Am She - Miss Universe India, Sushmita feels that beauty contests need attention.
'Beauty contests are a structured business and India needs to start looking at it like that. That's what will dictate our performance at pageants. Latin America starts grooming girls at a very young age... Yes our win at that time helped to open up the market, but it's not just about the cosmetics industry else china would be winning every year. It's also about personalities. That's where the public vote comes in,' she said.
'We don't like to objectify women....because we celebrate women. (We) stick to the age group 18-26 because that's the mandate but other than that, (we) have removed language barriers, allowed a girl with one eye because we thought she was beautiful. Not restricted to what is conventionally acceptable,' she added.
The actress, who adopted two girls Renee and Alisah, finds no reason to get married.
'My parents didn't raise me to be someone's wife or for that to be my sole identity. They supported me in my adopting two little girls. They know I am responsible and can make my own decisions and am good at prioritizing things in my life. They helped me to balance my work and kids,' she said.

Actress Katrina Kaif, who usually remains tight-lipped about her relationship status, told a fan that she is currently enjoying her time with family and that Salman Khan is her good friend.
During a chat with her fans on Airtel's 'Talk2Me' platform, when the 26-year-old was quizzed about her relationship, she said: 'At the moment I am just with my family and nothing going on like that.'
When a fan said that people feel she looks good with Salman Khan, the British-born actress said: 'Ya, he is a good friend of mine.'
The two were reportedly seeing each other but broke off last year.
The actress is currently busy promoting her upcoming film 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', also starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. The film directed by Zoya Akhtar will hit the screens Friday.

Looks like Bipasha Basu has found ‘love’ again, according to close friends she seems to be very happy these days and has claimed to have a new man in her life, but she refuses to divulge any names.
Sources claim that Bipasha has been gushing about an eligible young man in her life who is not only sweet and affectionate, but is also showering her with gifts. Apparently, she’s not yet serious about this new man and she is currently enjoying basking in the warmth of his adoration. If news reports are to be believed, the mystery man is none other than Shahid Kapoor.
Since they have not acted together even once, people are left wondering about how they even became friends. Apparently, they were introduced to each other by Abbas who is Shahid’s trainer. Both, Shahid and Bipasha are newly single and they don’t want their budding love to come under the media scanner just yet. Shahid recently arrived at a shoot with hickeys on his neck and refused to reveal who ‘marked’ him.
Recently, Shahid threw a party at his Andheri home and invited only the closest of his friends including Siddarth Anand, Anushka Sharma, Ayesha Takia, Sonam Kapoor, and Ahmed Khan and amongst them all was Bipasha Basu. It’s safe to say that her presence there did surprise few of the guests.
Unsurprisingly, when asked, Bipasha claimed that she doesn’t know Shahid all that well and Shahid’s spokesperson on the other hand claimed that Bipasha is just one of Shahid’s friends and not anyone special.

This week will go down the pages of history as a memorable one for Bollywood because two extremely diverse films belonging to contrasting genres have hit the jackpot together! The entire industry is in the mood to celebrate because the year 2011 seems to be turning into a gold mine for producers, distributors and exhibitors!
Mukesh Bhatt's Murder 2 starring serial kisser Emraan Hashmi has performed beyond the expectations of not just the audience, but also the film trade by opening to a bumper response all across the country! Surprising everyone pleasantly, the film is marching ahead to become the biggest ever grosser coming from the camp of the Bhatts.
On the other hand, Salman Khan & UTV Motion Pictures' joint production Chillar Party seems to be the underdog that is getting stronger by the day courtesy a very positive word of mouth! A beautiful, sensitive film about a bunch of adorable children, it has taken everyone by surprise and got people raving about it!
"The brand 'Murder' is all about thrills, sex & mystery and the second part of the franchise delivers exactly what it promises! It has opened to a bumper response all over and shows the potential that mass appealing films have for business in India" claims well known film exhibitor and distributor Akshaye Rathi.
"Such mass appealing films will continue to thrive as long as what we call the lower and middle class strata of the society continues to exist in India, and I am sure we all realize that this section of the society is not going to be wiped out in many many years to come! Its great to see producers going back to focusing on the core Indian audience rather than continuously making niche films that appeal to much smaller sections of the Indian society," says Rathi
The year so far highlights the truth in Rathi's words as the big hits of the year are Salman Khan's Ready , Sunny Deol's Yamla Pagla Deewana , Madhavan's Tanu Weds Manu, all of which speak to an audience that comprises of the middle class.
The line up of releases ahead including films such as Bodyguard, Housefull 2, Singham etc also indicates that the producers have indeed discovered the formula for minting money at the box office – catering to the masses.

With films which made characters like Amar, Prem, ACP Rathod famous and eternal, the movies that established a genre, that taught the youngistan words like ‘aila”, and “uima’, with a tinge of nationalistic feeling have somehow obliterated in the dark.
Aamir Khan says they need to be revised and revived. With the latent potentiality they carry, they can be made a sequel. These were no common movies of the time, a rare comedy and a rare patriotism. According to Aamir a sequel should be such that would bring to life original character and in the same time maintain the essence of the movie.
This can only be achieved keeping the same characters in the sequel but with a different and more elevating story line. After all every fan is interested to know what happens next? What is in store after the happy ending? Though he just confesses his heart he is not actually in anyway planning any such sequel. But the good news is he has given an idea to the film-makers. With sequels in vogue everywhere, this could be exhilarating for both the audience and the performers.
While talking about his innate ideas he did not fail to state how Dhoom has exemplified the forerunner concept. It has a different concept every time with the same base. Well let’s see now what the perfectionist has to deliver if such sequel is made.
Nevertheless with Aamir Khan already having the seed planted in our minds, we have our hopes raised.

Warrant issued for Sanjay Dutt's arrest Warrant issued for Sanjay Dutt's arrest
0 comments Posted by org at 9:19 AMA local court in this Uttar Pradesh district Saturday issued a non-bailable warrant against filmstar Sanjay Dutt for making provocative utterances during the election campaign for the 2009 general elections, officials said
Issuing the warrant, Judicial Magistrate Krishna Kumar has directed the Mau district magistrate to arrest Dutt and present him in the court on July 8, 2011.
The order came on a complaint filed by the local station house officer Vijay Shankar Yadav, charging Dutt of violating the election code of conduct by making objectionable speeches.
The filmstar, who had come to Mau to campaign for Samajwadi Party candidate Arshad Jamal, had allegedly said at an election rally that 'when I was in a Mumbai jail, the policemen used to thrash me simply because my mother happened to be a a Muslim'.
According to the FIR lodged against Dutt, the speech was clearly intended to gain sympathy of local Muslim voters.
Dutt was arrested April 1993 under the stringent Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act in the aftermath of the Mumbai blasts and spent 16 months in jail until he was granted bail by the Supreme Court in October 1995. He was later acquitted of terror charges but convicted under the Arms Act. He has appealed and is out on bail.
Some time ago, another court in the state's Pratapgarh district has issued a warrant for Dutt's arrest after his remarks that he would be willing to give his 'jaadu ki jhappi' to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, a reference to his character in the film 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. The actor had then moved the Allahabad High Court, which stayed the order.

'Do some yoga, practice some deep breathing and if the cravings get too much use a nicotine chewing gum or patch but don't give up and go back to smoking,' she added.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is usually seen in glamorous roles like in “Housefull” and “Break Ke Baad”, argues that it is a misconception such roles do not involve serious acting.
“It’s a misconception that glamourous roles don’t involve the actor to act. This is not true because in the West you have Julia Roberts doing really glamorous roles and you still notice her performance and notice how great she looks,” Deepika told reporters here.
The 25-year-old actress will next be seen in Prakash Jha’s film “Aarakshan”, based on caste-based reservations.
